On the occasion of StarUp’s fifth anniversary, Natalie will carry the dreams of StarUp students to the end of the world—Antarctica.

The artwork created by StarUp students will be transformed into practical products, spanning oceans and mountains, all the way to the ice-covered continent of Antarctica.

Let’s cheer for global Antarctic Ultra-marathon runners and support Youth with Intellectual Disabilities (YID) in their integration into society.

Passionate Ultra-marathon Enthusiast Natalie Yiu is an athlete who loves extreme ultra-marathons. She has participated in numerous challenging events, including the Oxfam Trailwalker, regular marathons, and extreme desert runs. In 2014 and 2018, she conquered the 250-kilometer desert expeditions in Madagascar and the Atacama Desert in Chile. Her outstanding performance caught the attention of the renowned race organization Racing the Planet, leading to her invitation to participate in this year’s ‘The Last Desert – Antarctica Up to 250KM Trail Race’ at the end of November in Antarctica.

Natalie hopes that through this Antarctica Ultra-marathon, she can raise funds for StarUp, promote awareness of the physical and mental development of YIDs, help these young talents discover their potential, and contribute to society.

Creation of StarUp’s Antarctica Themed Artworks

StarUp and its YID members will design a series of artworks inspired by Antarctica.

These paintings will be transformed into various products, carried by Natalie to the Antarctica region, supporting global polar ultra-marathon runners, and promoting respect and conservation for the natural environment.

Simultaneously, this initiative recognizes the talents of StarUp YID members, allowing them to showcase their abilities to the world and gain recognition from people of diverse backgrounds, fostering community and global harmony.
